PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device that does not stain a recording medium by a discarded ink when printing the start, the end or both of a recording medium without a margin and does not degrade print quality by surely regulating the position of the recording medium during printing. SOLUTION: The inkjet recording device has a recording head 1 having a nozzle array 2 in which many nozzles are arranged in a subsidiary scanning direction, a platen 3 provided in opposition to the recording head and regulating the position of the recording medium during printing, a paper feeding roller 8 and a paper delivery roller 9. The platen has a first hole 11 in the part facing the downstream side of the nozzle array in the subsidiary scanning direction, an ink 12 struck out of the start end and discarded is led to the first hole when the leading end 7 of the recording medium is printed without a margin.
