A method to sow crops, which provides for the optimum distribution of the seed along the sowing area, even lighting of the fields, rational use of theentire area of the field and erosion protection of the soil and lies in the fact that the growing area of each of the seed is shaped as a regular hexagon, and the row spacing for different crops depends on the optimum growing area of the plants and is determined according to the following formula A = , where: A is the row spacing; Sopt is the optimum growing area of a single plant shaped as a regular hexagon, the in-the-row spacing between the plants is determined according to the ratio K = A /0.866 , where: K is the in-the-row spacing between the plants, and shifting in the adjacent rows equals to a half of the in-the-row spacing in the rowsbetween the plants.
