A charge for producing refractory articles, preferably quick-changing previously burnt crucibles which are used in induction furnaces contains, % by weight: 38.8-44.3 of corundum, 15-30 of sintered alumo-magnesial spinel with content in solid solution of 8-18 % by weight of Al2O3, 24-39 of alumina, 1-6 of sintered periclase with content of MgO of not less than 95 %, 0.7-1.2 of modified disperse alumina. Increased strength and density of crucibles increase the term of use thereof and reduce lack of metal ingots per metallic inclusions.
