METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE THICKNESS OF A SINGLE LAYER OF A LAMINATED FILM

The proposed method for determining the thickness of a single layer of a laminated film consists in adding dye with a known concentration and a known optical radiation absorption spectrum to the material of each film layer when producing the film, exposing the film to monochromatic optical radiation with the wavelength that corresponds to the specified line of the absorption spectrum of the film layer and a wavelength beyond the absorption spectrum, measuring the intensity of the scattered radiation and the radiation that passed through the film, and using the data obtained for determining thethickness of the film layer according the Lambert-Beer law. The proposed method provides a possibility to measure the thickness of each film layer in the film production process.
