METHOD TO OPTIMIZE SETTLING SPECIES OF THE GENUS TRICHOGRAMMA

A method to optimize settling species of the genus Trichogramma includes quantitative assessment of the imago of lepidopterous pests catched in traps as compared with the natural one. A physiological assessment of the value of reproductive potential of females of the pests is carried out by means of intravital preparation of the female gonads and the amount of individuals catched into a trap for 2-3 days. Overall settling of the Trichogramma is carried out when 15-17 imagos per one trap are catched and a true fertility of the females is no less than 75-80% from the potential one.
