The proposed method for predicting the ovarian reserve in programs of extracorporal fertilization consists in determining, within the follicular phase, the content of anti-Muller hormone that characterizes the reaction of the ovary to stimulation with gonadotropin. As the said hormone, glycoprotein is used, the molecule of which contains two monomers, with a molecular weight of about 72 units, coupled by disulfides. The negative reaction of the ovary is predicted if the content of the hormone is no more than 2 ng/ml, and the positive reaction is predicted if the content of the hormone is more than 5 ng/ml.
