An air filter device (1) in which a bag-like air filter filtration element canbe replaced. The air filter device (1) includes a bag-like air filter filtrationmaterial (2) having a gas inflow opening and having a fixing peripheral section(7) in the periphery of the gas inflow opening, an annular filtration materialreception member (4) having an annular cavity (13) for receiving the peripheralsection of the filtration material, and a filtration material hold-down member(5) provided in the annular cavity of the filtration material reception member(4) and elastically deformable, the filtration material hold-down member (5)being constructed such that the peripheral section of the filtration materialis held between the filtration material reception member and the filtrationmaterial hold-down member to fix the filtration material and that the peripheralsection of the filtration material is freed from the filtration material receptionmember and the filtration material hold-down member.
