A method for repair of lengthy sections of operating pipelines consists in installation of technological rings on pipeline, mounting on technological rings and fixing to each other parts of sleeve fittings, with fixation of sleeve ends to the surface of respective technological rings and with following filling under-sleeve space with self-curing mass. First on pipeline, within defect section, one installs several pairs of technological rings, after that to each pair of technological rings, one symmetrically installs coupling rings, width of those is chosen equal to distance between the centres of technological rings of respective pair, after that the ends of coupling rings are attached to the surface of respective technological rings, on free sections of nearest technological rings of neighbouring pairs one installs sections of split sleeve fittings, those are pressed to the rings and fixed to each other, at that the ends of split sleeve fittings are fixed to the surfaces of respective technological rings, then space between pair rings is filled with self-curing mass under pressure, after that with same mass, pressure comparable to that inside pipeline one fills under-sleeve space of each section formed with respective sleeve fitting together with pipeline and respective technological rings. The method makes it possible to repair pipeline section of arbitrary length.
