FIELD: medicine, cardiology. ^ SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with predicting and controlling the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. It is necessary to detect arterial pressure, moreover, one should determine a patient's heart rate to calculate equalized diastolic pressure by the following formula: DAPequal.=k.(p.SAP.fc0.5)0.79, where DAPequal. - equalized diastolic arterial pressure, mm mercury column; k - dimensional coefficient, equal to 1, mm mercury column; p - empiric coefficient, equal to 1.817 mm mercury column-1.sec0.5; SAP - systolic arterial pressure, mm mercury column; fc - heart rate, sec-1; after that it is important to calculate the index of diastolic pressure by the following formula: IDP = DAP/DAPequal., where IDP - index of diastolic arterial pressure; DAP - determined patient's diastolic pressure, mm mercury column; DAPequal. - equalized diastolic pressure, mm mercury column; moreover, at IDP value being 0.95-1.05 the level of diastolic pressure should be considered to be normal; at IDP being under 0.95 - it should be considered to be decreased; and IDP being above 1.05 - as increased.
