A method for providing broadcasting network additional information by using primary and secondary channels is provided to offer the additional information to audio broadcasting as well as video broadcasting, easily synchronize the additional information with the A/V broadcasting, and suitably show necessary additional information to a user in a corresponding broadcasting time by using the primary channel as an A/V channel and using the secondary channel as an additional information providing channel. A DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) receiver receives DMB data from a DMB transmission system, and decodes an FIC(Fast Information Channel) among the DMB data(S10). The DMB receiver judges whether a service of a current channel includes two service components(S20). If the service of the current channel includes two service components, the DMB receiver decodes an MSC(Main Service Channel) of the DMB data, and simultaneously decodes primary and secondary service components(S30). The DMB receiver analyzes the primary and secondary service components, and simultaneously displays A/V broadcasting and additional information associated with the A/V broadcasting on one screen(S40). |
