Invention relates to the use of methenaminhydrorho danide in production of drugs for treating the disorders caused by RNA viruses in human beings and animals. Therapeutical effect is achieved due to the fact that methenaminhydrorhodanide being administered as a drug initiates ‘immunity storm with thunder’ – condition of the immunity system that is characterized by an increase with both cellular, and humoral component of immune system response. In such a state RNA viruses even themselves are partially damaged due to synergistic activity of formaldehydes as a degradational product of methenamine and rorhodanide ion, become more recognizable by the immunity system and liable for more intensive exposing to specific mechanisms of defence that bring to a desired therapeutical effect.
