A water-proofing process for wood and wood products is provided. The process comprises treating pre-dried wood or wood product with a mixture comprising one or more drying oils and one or more high boiling point oil. The process can be carried out at positive pressures and can also be used to treat wood or wood products with temperature sensitive additives.
