The bicycle, having a frame with a steering tube (2), a saddle tube (3) and a diagonal tube (6), has a top tube (5) made with male and female telescopic sections (7, 8), e.g. of square cross-section with vertical sides, allowing a lengthwise adjustment e.g. of up to 10 cm. The two telescopic sections can have holes (10) or lengthwise slots for springloaded studs (9) or a clamp locking mechanism. The diagonal frame tube (6) is curved in shape and connects the underside of the female top tube section to the bottom pedal bracket (4).
