#CMT# #/CMT# The installation (1) has a platform (5) for accessing a level (P1) and an upper level (P2). The access to the level (P2) is secured by a door (11). A safety device (13) opens the door when the platform has attained the level (P2) and locks the platform in position, when the door is in open state. The device has a self-locking interconnection mechanism with a platform locking part, a door locking part and an interconnection part between the platform and the door. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used in private dwelling and public places, for receiving handicapped person, person of reduced mobility, carefree or unconscious child to access to upper level of elevator (claimed). #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The safety device opens the door when the platform has attained the upper level, thus permitting the handicapped person to open the door locking the platform in upper level, and hence guarantying its accessibility with optimal safety without risk of fall. The self-locking interconnection mechanism does not necessitate electric and/or automated assistance. The platform locking part, door locking part or interconnection part are with fewer encumbrances and facilitate the installation on the site, while permitting to mechanically resist against default of pneumatic and electrical components.
