Two lateral portions are provided to mold the lateral faces (4). One of the lateral portions is axially movable relative to the central portion. One or more pin is provided to mold a channel (7) inside a tread (2). The pin is anchored in one of the lateral portions. A contact surface is formed between the pin and rib when a mold is closed. The pin and/or rib have at least one buffer made of deformable material such as silicone. Deformation of pin and/or rib enables filling in a clearance between pin and rib at the contact surface when mold is closed.
