The table, comprising a supporting frame (14) for a top (12) with a central hole for a cooker (16) with a heat source inside a cylinder (46), has a ring (48) surrounding the cooker and shaped to fit in the table top hole. The diameters of the cooker and ring are such that a circular gap is created between them that generates an upward air flow from beneath the table, carrying away the hot air and fumes from the cooker. The space contains a grille (58) surrounding the cooker, and the relative heights of the cooker cylinder and outer ring are adjustable. A variant of the design has a fan beneath the cooker to assist the upward air flow.
