#CMT# #/CMT# The device has a control unit (8) provided in the form of a triangular tip in side and top views. The unit (8) is arranged on a fixation unit (11) of an oblong element (5) e.g. jet engine, and an aircraft carrier surface (4) such that a base (12) of the corresponding tip at its downstream end is brought in contact with an attacking edge (6) of the carrier surface. The unit (8) has a triangular shape in a plane perpendicular to a longitudinal axis, and has a side contacting the unit (11) and adjacent sides forming flanks that are connected by a circular edge. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used for controlling a vortex trail generated by an oblong element such as jet engine, refueling can and load e.g. missile, of an aircraft bearing surface of an aircraft, where the oblong element is mounted below the bearing surface (claimed). #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The base is brought in contact with the attacking edge of the carrier surface, so that auxiliary vortex generated by the control unit passes directly on the carrier surface, while improving the maximum lift generated by the carrier surface. The triangular shape of the control unit allows to generate the auxiliary vortex which interacts with the vortex trail in a stabilizing manner, thus permitting to maintain the vortex assembly parallel to an axis of the oblong element.
