The procedure consists of creating a pre-coating or undercoat on the superalloy substrate by applying one or several layers of a paint containing at least one metal selected from the platinoid group or chrome. The coating is then aluminized by vapour phase deposition. The repair or coating is carried out on a substrate that has been taken back to bare metal, and can be applied over a bonding under-coating of an alloy such as MCrAlY, where M is a metal selected from nickel, cobalt, iron, or a mixture of these.
