<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic program guide (EPG), to a viewer, for searching for a specific program, using a query. <P>SOLUTION: This electronic program guide operating method comprises steps of: recording the length of time during which a specific channel is selected for viewing; determining viewing preferences of a viewer from the ratio of the time during which the channel is selected, in a full viewing time of the viewer and creating queries for identifying a channel that is highly possible to be viewed by the viewer, based on the viewing preferences; and saving the queries in a hierarchic query structure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
