摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of improving light shielding property and alignment property of the display device at the same time. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device comprises: a substrate 11; a thin film transistor for driving a transparent pixel electrode 31, disposed on the substrate; and a conductive light shielding layer disposed on a position of the upper layer of the thin film transistor and of the lower layer of the pixel electrode 11, wherein a first flattening film 25 is formed so as to fill up ruggedness on the thin film transistor; the light shielding layer is arranged on the first flattening film 25 which is flattened; a second flattening film 29 is formed so as to fill up level difference on the light shielding layer; the pixel electrode 31 is arranged on the second flattening film 29 which is flattened; the conductive light shielding layer is separated into a first light shielding layer 27 and a second light shielding layer 28; the first light shielding layer 27 is connected to the pixel electrode 31 and the second light shielding layer 28 exists on a common voltage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
