<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict usable menus in a touch panel type instruction input device. <P>SOLUTION: The instruction input device comprises a touch panel displaying a menu image in which one or more menu items are arranged and having the function of detecting which of the menu items is touched, thereby inputting information showing designation of the menu item concerned; one or more layered plates each having an opening part in a predetermined position and placed on the touch panel; a menu storage means storing image data corresponding to each of the layered plates and showing a menu image having a menu item arranged in a position corresponding to the opening part of each layered plate; a layered plate discrimination means discriminating the type of a layered plate placed on the touch panel; and a menu display means reading image data corresponding to the type determined by the layered plate discrimination means from the menu storage means, and displaying the menu image based on the image data on the touch panel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
