<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To have a high usability and friendliness for the elderly in particular, to facilitate the adjusting operation of a load and to have high versatility. <P>SOLUTION: This training apparatus 10 for training the muscles of the upper half body with a user sat on a seat part 50 provided on an apparatus body, is provided with arm parts 60 having a prescribed length for allowing a turning operation against a prescribed load adjacent to the right/left of the seat part, and the arm part 60 has the lower end pivoted to turn around a shaft tube 62 extending horizontally, its central part formed into a curved shape swelling to the front part and its tips defined as grips 611 and 612.
