PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an equipment management system and an equipment management method that can efficiently notify an equipment manager of necessary information even in low urgency. SOLUTION: The equipment management system 1, which manages an air conditioning system group 60 (60a, 60b), comprises a transmission/reception part, a first storage part and a second storage part. The transmission/reception part receives equipment status information and equipment identification information from the air conditioning system group 60 (60a, 60b) via first communication lines 20. The equipment status information is information on the status of indoor units 62a and outdoor units 61a. The equipment identification information is information identifying the indoor units 62a and outdoor units 61a. The first storage part stores first correspondence information. The first correspondence information is obtained by associating at least either of the equipment status information and equipment identification information with group identification information. The second storage part stores second correspondence information. The second correspondence information is obtained by associating the group identification information with decision information.
