PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an adverse effect of external force from harness connected to an optical component when an optical component unit on which optical components including light emitting means are mounted is mounted on an optical unit. SOLUTION: The optical unit comprises: a first fixing member 304 such as a screw member which fixes the optical component unit (shown with a substrate 120 as an example) on the casing (shown with an intermediate wall 225 as an example here) of an optical scanner; second fixing members 305 and 306 such as screw members with springs which elastically pressurize and fix the substrate 120 to the intermediate wall 225; and a third fixing member which fixes harness H which is connected to a laser drive substrate 104 and transmits/receives signals to/from the outside to the substrate 120. The third fixing member is such a member as a screw member which fixes the harness at the position of a bonding band T<SB>3</SB>, which is one example of a bonding member for bonding the harness, on the substrate 120. The fixing position by the first fixing member 304 is more in the vicinity of the fixing position by the third fixing member than the fixing position by the second fixing members 305 and 306.
