PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protectively fix a striking plate and a rotor corresponding to normal or reverse rotation of the rotor. SOLUTION: This impact crusher 2 crushing a crushing object with resilient plates 7 fixed to a casing 4 is provided with symmetrical striking plate pressing parts 15 having two protruded parts on the outer circumference of a rotor body and holes at the central part. The striking plate 11 having a through-hole at the center and multiple striking faces is detachably mounted at a recessed part of the striking plate pressing parts 15. After mounting the striking plate 11, a pin 18 is inserted into the through-holes of the striking plate pressing parts 15 and striking plate 11. In this state, a pair of protective members 17 for protecting the striking plate 11 and rotor 3 are mounted on the outside of the striking plate pressing parts 15 and hold the striking plate 11 for fixing. The casing 4 is symmetrically formed and is provided with the resilient plates 7.
