PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exercise-assisting apparatus capable of being used for a running exercise to strengthen leg parts, etc., for both of a pet and human, and also provide a running exercise environment suitable for a person. SOLUTION: This exercise-assisting apparatus 1 equipped with a running-driving part 12 having an endless belt 123 for running to assist the running exercise of a user is provided with a supporting body 13 raised at the front end side of the running-driving part 12 and having a grip part 132 capable of being gripped by the user under the exercise and a tying mechanism part 14 for tying the pet, which is provided below the grip part 132 of the supporting body 13, and the tying mechanism part 14 is constituted so as to be moved between a using position for tying the pet and a retreating position for assisting the running exercise of the user.
