The tray (1) has a top opening for admitting an object, and a lateral stacking surface (2) for arranging and deposing a side of the object. A lower closure flap (3) is provided for arranging and deposing a lower edge of the object. A lower holder (4) is positioned in front of a side wall, and is positioned for slowing down and damping the falling object into contact with the closure flap. The lower holder is rotatable, and is connected with spring units such as a spring (6) and a damper (7).
