<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure current distribution in a fuel cell using a simple configuration, and to realize a high performance and superior stability. <P>SOLUTION: In the fuel battery unit cell 1 or the fuel cell stack 9 laminating the fuel battery unit cells 1, a split current collector 11 is installed in current distribution measuring devices 10a, 10b, and the current density distribution in the fuel battery unit cell 1 surface is accurately measured by an electron load device 14 and a voltage measuring device 15 installed respectively in the split current collectors 11. When the value of the current density in each split current collector 11 deviates out of a specified range, the current value in each split current collector 11 is controlled, and occurrence of abnormality in the current distribution is avoided by a relaxation driving mode which suppresses local current concentration or current drop or by a recovery driving mode which changes the driving condition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
