<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development device which easily realizes the upright state of a magnetic brush during development to enable sure development and the side topple state of the magnetic brush during non-development to effectively prevent the scattering of the carrier, and can assure the sufficient transfer amount of the toner at the time of forming the high density image and an image forming apparatus using the same with a simple configuration at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: A magnetic pole roll 522 is held in a first rotation limiting position by magnetic suction force due to the movement of a two-component developer by accompanying rotation in a prescribed direction of a developing sleeve 521 in such a manner the magnetic brush (m) in a development region is maintained in the upright state at the time of development and is held in a second rotation limiting position by the magnetic suction force generated between the magnetic pole roll 522 and the outside of the developing sleeve 521 in such a manner the magnetic brush m1 in the development region comes into contact with the peripheral surface of a photoreceptor drum 2 in the state approximately parallel with the peripheral surface of the developing sleeve at the time of non-development. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
