PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly accurate battery residual charge indication device for coping with changes in the characteristics or variations among individuals. SOLUTION: This battery residual charge indication device is equipped with a battery individual detection means, a battery voltage detection means, a battery residual charge detection means, a storage means, and a battery residual charge indication unit. Measurement data comprising voltage information and elapsed time are previously stored in a characteristics table storage area for each of individual batteries provided in the storage means. When a relevant battery is mounted next, the latest characteristics table of the relevant battery is read out, to use it as residual charge criterion values. Since this causes residual charge criterion values to agree with the characteristics of a mounted battery at all times, a high-accuracy battery residual charge indication is made possible.
