PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system for accurately selecting desired items from a list displayed on a display monitor. SOLUTION: The navigation system displays a part of the list, comprising a plurality of the items on the display monitor 16 as a display list 30. When an item 31e displayed in the lowermost line of the display list 30 is selected, the display list 30 is scrolled upward by one line, not by moving the position of the active display from an item 31d to the position of the lowermost line of the display list 30; and the item 31e is actively displayed by the item 31e moving from downward to a second line position.
