PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drastically improve parallelization effects by exclusive hardware when solving linear simultaneous equations by a Gaussian/Jacobi method. SOLUTION: A cell 301 is provided with a means 304 for storing a plurality of connection relations with adjacent cells; a means 305 for storing the number of times of an iterative operation; a means 306 for storing the value of the coefficient matrix of a linear simultaneous equation; means 308 for operating multiplication and addition; a means 307 for storing the arithmetic result of the iterative operation; and a means 303 for operating the transfer of the arithmetic result between the adjacent cells and the control of the arithmetic order. A first process for integrating the arithmetic result for one iterative operation in a diagonal cell assigned to the diagonal section of the coefficient matrix for each of the lines of a coefficient matrix, and a second process for propagating the arithmetic result for one time acquired in the diagonal cell to any cell other than the diagonal cell for each of the columns of the coefficient matrix, are repeated by the number of times of the iterative operation.
