PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of maintaining positional relationship between a guide member and a roll tangential line before and after adjustment of nip pressure. SOLUTION: As the constitution of the image forming apparatus having a fixing device, the apparatus is provided with a fixing roll 61 and a pressure roll 62 for conveying the paper in a nipped state, a nip pressure adjusting mechanism 100 for forming a fixing nip part N by pressing the pressure roll 62 against the fixing roll 61 and capable of adjusting the nip pressure of the fixing nip part N, and a guide member 90 for guiding the conveyance of the paper discharged from the fixing nip part N and displaced in the deflection direction of the roll tangential line (m) indicating the traveling direction of the paper discharged from the fixing nip part N, interlocking with the nip pressure adjustment of the nip pressure adjusting mechanism 100.
