HIGH-TEMPERATURE HEAT RESISTANT MATERIAL AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material superior to pure Ir in high-temperature heat resistance. SOLUTION: The material having a melting point higher than that of pure Ir can be produced by adding Re to Ir, and high-temperature strength can be maintained by suppressing grain coarsening and material softening at high temperature. Moreover, by applying hot forging at processing, the occurrence of cracks in the surface and inner part of the material can be suppressed and also superior surface condition at post-processing can be maintained.
