PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an NEFA-measuring liquid reagent stable for a long period, and to provide a simple method for accurately measuring the NEFA by using the reagent. SOLUTION: The stabilized liquid reagent containing CoA, ACS and ATP contains one or more chelating agents in an amount effective for stabilizing the reagent, and further contains one or more kinds of compounds selected from the group consisting of a substitutedα-CD, mannitol and trehalose in an amount effective for stabilizing the reagent. Preferably, the stabilized liquid reagent containing ACO, peroxidase, a hydrogen donor which is a chromogenic substrate for the peroxidase, and NEM, and having a pH effective for stabilizing the NEM contains FAD in an amount effective for stabilizing the reagent, and DTDN and/or potassium ferrocyanide in an amount effective for stabilizing the reagent. A method for stabilizing first and the second liquid reagents, a kit for measuring the NEFA including the first and/or the second liquid reagent, and a method for measuring the NEFA by using the kit are also provided.
