PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinning reel for fishing aiming at the prevention of its breaking damage, etc., reduction of its production cost and improvement of working property by housing an actuating spindle and a fixing part of a switch-operating member at the inside of the reel main body. SOLUTION: This spinning reel is provided by forming a recessed partαsitting over the bottom part 1f of a body 1' and bottom part 1g of a body cover 1", constituting the recessed partαhaving slope surfaces 1h, 1i formed at the inside and deeper recessed parts 1j, 1k than those of them, continuing the rear side of a penetrated hole 1e bored from the front side of the front part 1c of the body 1' with the recessed parts 1j, 1k, inserting an actuating spindle 7 fixed with a cam 20 as one unit from the front side of the front part 1c into the penetrated hole 1e, forming a click part 7a at the approximately middle of the length of the actuating spindle 7, a non-circular outer circumferential part 7b at the rear side and an outer circumferential groove 7d at the front side of a end part 7c and fitting the non-circular inner circumferential part 8b of a base part 8a of the switch-operating member 8 with the non-circular outer circumferential part 7b of the actuating spindle 7, which is escape-stopped with a stopping ring fitted to the outer circumferential groove 7d.
