<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network storage system and a network storage system construction method for accurately connecting a host computer, an FC switch and switch ports of a storage by FC cables, and further carrying out zoning of the switch ports and LU mapping of the storage. <P>SOLUTION: RFIDs are provided at both ends of the FC cable, and the FC switch is provided with RFID readers for every switch port, and an identification ID management part for managing identification IDs of the switch ports and RFIDs. The storage is provided with RFID readers and writers for every switch port, and the switch ports and a storage management part for managing a storage device in the storage. The connection destinations of the FC cable are confirmed by the identification IDs stored in the RFIDs.
