PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower the wear of a toner carrier and to strengthen durability by restricting and controlling a slidingly rubbing conditions of a magnetic brush for making a two-component developer slidingly rub the toner carrier when separating only the toner from the two-component developer and supplying the developer to the toner carrier. SOLUTION: A developing device (developing means) 14 includes the toner carrier 402 which carries the toner 10 and conveys the toner 10 to a photoreceptor 1, and a toner supplying member 403 which conveys the two-component developer 12 to the toner carrier 402 and supplies only the toner 10 by the two-component developer 12 to the toner carrier 402. Also, the development device 4 uses the two-component developer 12 having the carrier grain size greater than the toner grain size; the magnetic flux density of the magnetic pole at which the toner supplying member 403 causes the two-component developer 12 to nap is≥50 mT and≤123 mT on the surface of the toner supplying member 403 and the saturation magnetization of the magnetic particles is≥35 emu/g and≤l30 emu/g.
