PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the whole management by sharing the file management/object management. SOLUTION: A video object is recorded in a video file, and a first non-recorded area is allowed in it to record another video object. Information on a second non-recorded area not allocated is shown by a space table, and the space table includes an unallocated space entry. The above unallocated space entry includes a second row of allocation descriptors on the extent of the above second non-recorded area, and the length information on the row of the second allocation descriptors shown in byte count.
