PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of ensuring sufficient evaporation of water in an evaporating dish without lowering content volume while increasing a storing capacity of a storing compartment of a lowermost portion, so that the water in the evaporating dish hardly spills out even when a refrigerator is inclined. SOLUTION: A heat insulating housing 2 is composed of an inner case 21, an outer case 22 and a foam heat insulating material 23, a compressor 33 is disposed at a top face or a back face upper portion of the heat insulating housing 2, and a rear portion wall 50 of the evaporating dish 15 is placed at a lower portion of the heat insulating housing 2, thus the evaporation of the water in the evaporating dish 14 can be sufficiently ensured without lowering the content volume, while increasing the storing capacity of the refrigerating compartment of the lowermost portion, and the water in the evaporating dish hardly spills out even when the refrigerator is inclined to a back side.
