PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil retaining sintered bearing and a manufacturing method thereof, heightening the strength of a green compact. SOLUTION: This oil retaining sintered bearing 1 is formed by adding resin binder such as polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) or polyvinyl butyral (PVB) to metal powder taking Cu powder as base, compression-molding the powder, and the sintering the same.
