<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for storage space management for a slab yard, capable of obtaining an operation plan within practicable time. <P>SOLUTION: This method and device for storage space management for the slab yard include a pile dividing process of determining how slabs will be allotted to piles; a lot dividing process of determining how slabs are divided into lots; a lot generating order determining process of determining an order of generation of the lots determined in the lot dividing process; an operation instruction generating process of generating operation instruction of a handling device to carry out the lot generation order determined in the lot generating order determining process; and an empty place number determining process of determining a place to retreat obstructive slabs during excavation of target slabs. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
