<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment having improved coloristic properties and to provide a process for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: This invention relates to a method for preparing a pigment by kneading a composition including a compound represented by formula (I), crystalline inorganic salt or a mixture of crystalline inorganic salts and an organic liquid. This invention further relates to these pigments, the polymers, printing inks, color filters, and their uses. The invention in particular relates to a novel pigment form of Pigment Violet 23 represented by formula (I) obtained by above-mentioned process and having higher color strength and color saturation as well as excellent other application properties in particular in printing ink. This invention also relates a highly crystalline novel form of Pigment Red 254 represented by formula (II) obtained by above mentioned process, too, and having a steep slope on the bathochromic side of the absorption spectrum's maximum, and the use thereof in particular color filters. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
