<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new technology for sharing content information when a server sets content information for a plurality of electronic devices connected thereto via a network, and for greatly reducing the amount of communication. <P>SOLUTION: The server stores the content information created by the electronic devices and uses information about the date of creation of the content information to determine which content information is to be used. In this way, the content information can be shared between the electronic devices and the server. Accordingly, before the server sends the content information to the electronic devices, it sends abridged information derived from the content information, and information about the date of creation of the content information.
