摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly rigid and light-weight fork for a robot hand. SOLUTION: A fork for a robot hand contains a fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) layer and has a hollow rectangular shape in the cross section. Thickness of the two faces out of four faces constituting the cross section, which form almost a right angle to the loading face, is smaller than the thickness of the two faces, which are the loading face and the face confronting the loading face. The two faces forming almost a right angle to the loading face contains the FRP layer, whose fibers are slantingly directed with respect to the longitudinal direction of the fork.
