PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing delayed failure in a continuous cast slab of a high tension steel cast with a continuous casting facility, even in the case of cooling to a room temperature. SOLUTION: In the method for preventing the delayed failure in the continuous cast slab of the high tension steel having 0.12-0.25 wt.% C content, 1.2-2.0 wt.% Si content and 1.2-4.0 wt.% Mn content; according to the surface temperature (T:°C) at the center part on the wide surface side of the continuous cast slab, the cooling speed (V:°C/hour) of the continuous cast slab is controlled so as to satisfy the followings.
