PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tobacco extinguishing device which continuously and surely extinguishes the cigarette butts of tobacco without using water. SOLUTION: This tobacco extinguishing device 1 is equipped with a roller 2 which rotates, and a first pressure plate 3 which is projected in the rotational direction of the roller 2, and makes an interval 4 to the outer peripheral surface of the roller 2 gradually narrower. Then, the cigarette but 5 of tobacco which is dropped in the interval 4 between the rotating roller 2 and the first pressure plate 3 is crushed and extinguished by the roller 2 and the first pressure plate 3.
