PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide dishes having a shape hardly being broken by an impact at an edge part since a dish made of a brittle material such as porcelain is easily broken when receiving an impact at the edge part, the edge part of the dish is easily cracked or chipped due to an impact when the dish is dropped or an impact during the work of washing and carrying or the like and there is the risk of injuring a worker of cooking and washing or the like and an eating or drinking person. SOLUTION: The dish is made of the brittle material such as the porcelain, and at least one thick part is provided on the outer peripheral part of the dish almost in parallel with the upper edge end of the dish at a position below the upper edge end part of the dish.
