PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for reducing noises produced on the collision of cams with the long holes of shear blades and noises produced on the mutual rubbing of the shear blades without enhancing the cost of the product. SOLUTION: This silencing mechanism of the lawn clippers is characterized by disposing, on movable shear blades 11a, 11b, elastic members 16a, 16b to be elastically brought into contact with the main bodies 2 of the lawn clippers in the moving directions of movable shear blades 11a, 11b, before or after the movable shear blades 11a, 11b reach a position of dead point.
