A housing (12) for packing the two circuit supports has a cover (22) with access opening (17) for access to an area part corresponding to the second circuit support and closed by a replaceable cover plate (2) which can be connected to the cover through an ideal break point. An independent claim is given for a method that involves replacing circuit support in a control unit, whereby the access opening of the cover is opened, the second circuit support is reached and removed from the first support, and a new second support is fitted before closing up the access opening.
